List of Opinion Polls on Punjab Assembly Election 2017. After great performance (infact solo performance) in Lok sabha election 2017, Aam Aadmi Party is all set to fight assembly election in Punjab. After 10 years of anti-incumbancy and Udta Punjab (Drug) issue, Siromani Akali Dal (SAD) is all set to lose the government. Here is first opinion poll of Punjab Assembly Election 2017.

Punjab Opinion Poll 2017 Assembly Election

Punjab has total 117 Assembly seats out of which right now Akali dal, BJP and Congress is having equal seats but Akali dal is having alliance with BJP, SAD-BJP government is rulling punjab government. Badal's are hot favorite politicians of Punjab politics but in 2014 Election, AAP has won 4 seats in loksabha election and now they are going to fight assembly election.

1. VDPAssociates Opinion Poll of Punjab

As per the VDP Associate opinion poll,  Punjab is going with AAP way. As per the opinion poll of VDP Associates, AAP may win up to 100 seats (out of 116) seats in Punjab and can remove SAD-BJP government easily.

Seat Sharing Wise Opinion poll

- AAP :- 100
- SAD :- 12
- Congress :- 3
- BJP :- 1.

Vote Share wise Party Performance

- AAP :- 46.1 %
- SAD :- 20%
- Congress :- 24%
- BJP :- 6%

Technically, all votes of Congress is getting transferred in to AAP. Expect bit of anti-incumbency vote reduced, BJP-SAD is not loosing much in terms of Vote share. While, Congress has hired Prashant Kishore as political strategist in Punjab Election.

But the election is yet to announce. AAP- congress has already started the election campaign in punjab but SAD and BJP is yet to make any official announcement for upcoming election.


Until now, it was 2 way fight in all states, but now its 3 way fight. Anyone who score 29% will win the election. It will be interesting to see how the election goes on. We will update more opinion polls from AAJtak, India Today and many more in coming days.
